That Age...

Our second child, our 5-year-old son, starts kindergarten next week. It's so hard for me to believe my little boy is starting his school years! And in this season, as I photograph so many high school seniors, it's equally hard for me to imagine my kids one day being seventeen, entering their last year of school.  But if the seniors I work with are any indication, I can still anticipate the excitement and possibility life will hold for my kids when they reach that age. Here's one of those seniors.

International Adoption Picnic

Some of you know that my husband and I recently adopted our daughter from Ethiopia. Going through the process has really changed my life--in so many ways! Last month I had the pleasure of doing a few Mini-Sessions for an International Adoption Picnic in Chippewa Falls. And when I say it was a pleasure, I mean it! These adoptive families all have beautiful stories and I have been so honored to know them and to walk this journey with them.

So here is a little glimpse of the photos!

Twins

Well, my last post sure created quite a buzz among the 2011 seniors! I have received email after email of session requests. So much so, that I am fully booked for 2010! I will be leaving a few slots open for my loyal returning clients (I love you guys!), but I will not be taking on any more new clients for 2010. If you have any questions about booking in 2011, feel free to shoot me an email.

NOW, onto the photos! Sarah mentioned to me that she was having nightmares dreams about how her photos would turn out when compared to her sister's...   I am happy to say that they are beautiful!! (No comparison necessary!)

And of course, I could not go without doing some photos of the girls together!

And here is their fantastic mother, Kathy, who managed to go through both shoots without shedding a tear (that I know of, anyway!) Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to photograph your daughters!
