Recently I had the opportunity to photograph the amazing Stuart Sandler of Font Diner for a feature article in the September MyFonts newsletter. We knew the only place to get this shot was Mickey's Diner in St. Paul, MN. If you have been there, you know there is just no other place quite like it! Halie was so much fun to work with! We had a beautiful day, beautiful outdoor locations, and the photographs truly captured her personality and her natural ease in front of the camera. Halie chose one of our locations because it held fond memories of berry picking and spending time with her family when she was younger. Here are just a few of the images from our session.
I love shooting in new locations. Don't get me wrong, I have a long list of locations that I frequent for senior sessions and they have never failed me yet. The great thing about those locations is that I am familiar with the light, the colors, the mood, etc. But when a client arrives to our session with an idea or two of new places to shoot, I am all for it, and totally up for the challenge! So, I have to say that I was very excited when Kelsey requested that we shoot at her grandfather's farm right outside of Eau Claire... and I was even more thrilled when I learned it was beautiful farm I had seen and admired for years!
