Courtney

Let me tell you a little bit about Courtney.

Courtney has a huge heart. Each summer, she has spent time down in New Orleans volunteering to help New Orleans residents recover and rebuild their lives after Hurricane Katrina. While many have forgotten about the people whose lives were devastated in 2005, Courtney and her friends have not. That's just who she is!

It was so much fun to spend an afternoon with Courtney for her senior photos. Most of all, it was fun to give all the attention to this deserving senior who spends so much of her time focusing on others.

Vacation

Just letting everyone know I will have very limited access to phone calls and emails from Sunday, July 17th through Saturday July 23rd. I am going on a much needed VACATION!!! Of course I will still be editing photos, but at least my "office" will be on a lake! ;)

Comments

I find it hilarious how many people tell me they check my blog constantly, that they love my work and are always "stalking." Why is that hilarious? Because no one leaves any comments! :) I would love to hear from you, my readers--whether it's a photo you like, a question you have, or just letting me know you stopped by.

To let you know how serious I am about leaving comments, I am going to do a little giveaway! The first person to guess the right answer to this question wins a $50 gift certificate to Genesis Photography!!! Are you ready for the question???  Okay, here it is:

I have a "secret" collection of something, and when I see them I just can't resist buying one! What do I collect?

Now, here is a photo from a senior session coming up!

Little Sister

These girls are so beautiful that I needed to give them each their own post. ;)

When did it all get so complicated?

Remember summers when you were a kid? Some of my best memories are summer-time as a little girl. I remember picking strawberries, carrots, tomatoes and onions in my grandparents garden. I remember catching fireflies at night, eating watermelon until my shirt was soaked, washing my bike with water and dish soap in the driveway, climbing trees, swinging on my swingset for what I thought were hours, picking flowers in the field behind my house, wading in the river, getting sprayed by my dad with the garden hose, catching frogs in window wells, helping my mom hang sheets out on the line to dry, exploring up and down streams, taking rides in the back of a pick-up truck, and walking down to the corner store to get candy. No cares in the world. Ahhh...to be a kid again.

These photos of Ava (and her baby sister, in my next post) made those memories come flooding in! Hope you enjoy!

Family Sneak Peek

I absolutely HATE gnats. But even the thousands of gnats swirling around us couldn't keep us from having fun on this shoot! Here are a few shots of the family I mentioned in my last post. Enjoy!
