Summer in E.C.

Well, school is out and weather is beautiful! People are enjoying the farmers market, the beach, shorts, flip-flops, green grass--it is officially summer! And what that means around here is tons of senior sessions! I'm excited to kick this summer off on my blog with a gorgeous senior who was fabulous to photograph. What a great way to start the season!

Babies in the woods...

I have been aching to use this idea for a while, and just needed the right excuse to do it! None better than two cute little baby girls hanging out together for the weekend. ; ) And I have to say, that even though I wasn't able to locate the exact cradle that I had in mind, I am pleased with the results. I would like to give a shout-out to my husband, Grant, for helping me make this pompom mobile late into the night, and to Baby G's dad, Brian for hauling multiple heavy objects into the woods.

All in all, the weather was beautiful, the babies cooperated, and here is the result!!

Memorial Weekend

I have been SO excited to share this set of photos with you! Over Memorial Day weekend we had the pleasure of having some dear friends visit. We took the opportunity to do a couple of photo shoots during their time here--a family shoot and what I am calling our "babies in the woods" (lol) shoot (which I will post later). We were pretty proud of ourselves for sticking it out through the rain to finish this session. It was worth it!

Inspired

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with a friend of mine on the launch of her new business, Shutter Knits (on Etsy). This amazing woman is oozing with talent and ideas, and her creations are incredible. She has a distinct style for creating whimsical, yet functional attire and accessories photographers can use to add a unique touch to any session. I was SO pleased with each item that I plan on using many of them again for future shoots. She also has a full line of newborn through toddler knitted hats (sizes 0-2T), with styles ranging from trendy to classic, which I am dying to try out on my next babies!
